About This Emulators

BasicBoy is a Microsoft Visual Basic emulator of a classic handheld console. It was built to emulate Nintendo Game Boy games and Game Boy Color support is also documented in the 2.0.3 release. Its no-nonsense approach makes it an interesting piece of the early history of Windows-based handheld emulation. BasicBoy is not an actively maintained modern emulator, but a legacy project. The archived file is named 2.0.3 and was last updated on 17 July 2012. The primary goal of this project is to enable you to run supported Gameboy and Gameboy Color software on Windows PCs. Compatibility and performance may vary.
