About This Emulators
DSEmu is one of the first open-source Nintendo DS emulator to test and run Nintendo DS software on a computer. Imran Nazar is the author of the project. The BSD License applies. This page covers DSEmu 0.4.10, which was released on January 17, 2006. The 0.4.10 release brought some fixes over the previous version including sprite support, support for some 8-bit graphics modes using palettes, a fix for an occasional crash in mode 5 rendering and a workaround for a Thumb emulation issue impacting programmes compiled with devkitPro r17. The binary is called dsemu-0.4.10.zip and the corresponding source archive dsemu-src-0.4.10.tar.gz on the official DSEmu project page. At this point of development DSEmu was more useful for Nintendo DS homebrew experimentation and demonstrations rather than a modern full speed commercial game emulator.
