About This Emulators

HazeMD is a different emulator written by Haze using code from the MAME project. The name is a bit of a misnomer as it also supports games for the Sega Master System and Game Gear. One of the reasons for developing the emulator was to play around with Sega game drivers and to better support MAME-related systems and titles. It is a legacy Windows application for retro gaming and emulation enthusiasts. HazeMD was released in several builds such as a command line version and HazeMD32 which has a graphical interface. By 2009, version 0.14a was documented. Its interface and setup process feel dated compared to modern emulators, and compatibility varies game to game. The historical archives also mention separate builds of the SDL and MAME-based interfaces.
