About This Emulators
JPCSP v0.6 Revision 1772 is an early build of the Java based JPCSP PSP emulator for Windows. According to the historical JPCSP documentation, the official v0.6 build was 1772. The archived download listings also specifically name the Windows 32-bit package as jpcsp-1772-windows-x86.7z. JPCSP is intended to be a PC emulator to emulate the PSP environment and run compatible PSP applications. The project began in July 2008 and was developed as an open source Java project. Eventually the emulator could run a fair number of commercial PSP titles, although compatibility varied wildly between revisions and individual titles. Revision 1772 : This is interesting for people who want to see the history of PSP emulation . This is from the earlier v0.6 generation . It's older than a lot of later JPCSP improvements so compatibility and performance can't be directly compared with newer JPCSP releases. The Windows x86 package is for 32-bit Windows environments and is based on the JPCSP Java Runtime architecture. There is some history about JPCSP being Java based and having separate launch scripts for x86 and amd64 on Windows.
