About This Emulators

mGBA 0.5.0 is an open-source emulator designed mostly for playing Game Boy Advance games on desktop computers and supported gaming platforms. This release added support for original Game Boy and Game Boy Colour games to the emulator, in addition to the existing GBA emulation, expanding its capabilities. It also brought improvements in performance, compatibility and all the emulation experience. The release adds support for encrypted CodeBreaker cheats for GBA games, a tile viewer, configurable controls in the graphical interface, fast-forward, automatic BIOS detection and the ability to load specific files from archives. mGBA 0.5.0 released September 19, 2016. It was available for Windows, Ubuntu, Mac OS X, Nintendo 3DS, Wii, and PlayStation Vita, with source code available for other platforms, including Linux distributions.
