Elite Beat Agents is a rhythm-action game designed exclusively for the Nintendo DS touch screen. The game was developed by iNiS and published by Nintendo, and released in North America on November 6, 2006. The Elite Beat Agents don’t exactly battle their enemies in the traditional sense, but instead solve problems through synchronised dance routines to music. The player taps numbered markers, tracks moving objects, and rotates circular prompts with the DS stylus, all while maintaining the beat. The upper screen displays comic-style story scenes and the touch screen displays the interactive rhythm challenges. The game features 19 music tracks, four difficulty levels, single player progression, and multiplayer for up to four players.

Elite Beat Agents | ROM-DOWNLOAD Story

Elite Beat Agents revolves around a secret organization that comes to the rescue when ordinary people are having a rough time. Their unusual method of assistance is not weapons or traditional rescue equipment but music, dancing and positive energy. When the crisis hits, Commander Kahn sends the agents into action with the familiar order to get moving. The stories are told in comic style sequences on the DS upper screen. Each mission is about a different person or group dealing with a problem, from relationships and careers to unusual disasters and exaggerated situations. The agents go about their business, and the player keeps the music going on the touch screen. If you do well , the story can go in a good direction . If you do badly , things can go downhill .

Elite Beat Agents | ROM-DOWNLOAD Gameplay

Elite Beat Agents is pretty much a game about the Nintendo DS touch screen. When a song plays, numbered circles will appear on the lower screen and rings shrink toward their targets. If the player hits each circle at the right moment, the rhythm is kept. Other prompts include tracking a ball that moves along a path with the stylus. Large spinners require quick circular motion with the stylus. Points are given for successful actions and help to keep the Elite-O-Meter up. If you miss too many beats the meter will fall, and if it gets to the failure zone the mission is over. Timing also makes combos, adding to the scoring potential. The higher the difficulty, the more markers there are, and the faster the patterns are, meaning you’ll have to be more accurate and more familiar with each song.

How to Play Elite Beat Agents | ROM-DOWNLOAD

Launch the game and choose a campaign difficulty, then choose a mission from those available. As you play, look at the bottom touch screen for circles with numbers in them and other rhythm cues. Tap each circle when the shrinking ring hits its target, follow the moving balls with the stylus when slide markers are present, and spin big circular markers fast when needed. You're the one who sets the pace of the Elite-O-Meter. Stay true to your timing to keep the mission alive. The upper screen keeps up the comic story in between rhythm sections. Complete missions to unlock extra stages, increase your overall score, unlock higher difficulties and unlock bonus content.
