The story starts with the kidnapping of Jackie's grandfather. Jackie has to find him, deliver a package to the kidnappers, all the while fighting his way through the dangerous parts of New York City. Jackie soon finds herself in the middle of a perilous chase between gang members and criminals. Instead of using traditional fighting he has to use his martial arts skills, quick reflexes and the environment around him to survive. Jackie makes her way around the city, running into groups of thugs and harder enemies. The kidnappers have set up many obstacles for Jackie and his grandfather and Jackie has to fight and do different stunts to be able to continue his search. The adventure covers 15 levels and several different zones. New enemies, obstacles, environmental objects and platforming challenges appear in every level. Jackie’s journey is told in classic Jackie Chan action movie style. The game mixes serious combat with comical moments and over-the-top stunts. Jackie can improvise and use objects as weapons in the typical manner of his films. In the course of the adventure, Jackie must battle enemies, navigate dangerous areas, surmount obstacles, and keep on following the trail of his kidnaped grandfather. As Jackie approaches the people responsible for the kidnapping, the final stages become increasingly challenging. Jackie fights his way through different areas and powerful enemies and finally has the chance to complete his mission and save his grandfather. The game also features movie-like sequences and Jackie Chan outtakes, giving the impression players are part of an interactive Jackie Chan action film

Jackie Chan: Stuntmaster is a 3D third-person action game that mixes beat-'em-up combat with platforming. Players guide Jackie Chan through urban environments filled with enemies, obstacles, objects and interactive areas. Combat is at the heart of the gameplay. Jackie can punch, kick, throw, do combinations and special martial arts techniques. The combat system is more about fast attacks and how you can use the environment, not complex fighting game controls. Jackie can also use objects in the environment as weapons. You can grab chairs, brooms and other objects and use them on enemies. This is one of the features of the game that tries to replicate the improvised fighting style attributed to the Jackie Chan's films. Another big thing is platforming. Jackie has to jump over gaps, climb and get across structures, dodge obstacles and do acrobatic moves to go through the levels. The game includes many of Jackie Chan’s signature moves. Jackie can run on walls and perform cartwheel kicks and other acrobatic moves in combat and exploration. The animations were derived from motion-capture work with Jackie Chan. Players will also need to watch Jackie’s health. Food items like milk, rice, and Chinese take-out are scattered throughout the levels and can restore health. There will be groups of enemies, so players will have to be careful with their attack management, not just attack constantly. Throws and combinations can be helpful especially if you have multiple opponents surrounding you. The game also has powerful bosses and tougher enemies as players progress through the 15 levels.

Jackie can do moves like wall runs and cartwheel kicks which help to capture the game’s stunt focused style. Keep an eye on how Jackie's health is doing in combat. Check environment for milk, rice and Chinese food to recover health. Explore each level, don’t rush to the goal. There are some useful items and more enemy encounters in some areas. Enemies become more powerful as the game progresses, making encounters more challenging. Learn their attack patterns and beat them using combos, throws and environmental objects. When you reach boss fights, try to learn the boss's attack pattern and look for openings to attack. Progress through all 15 levels. Battle the enemies that stand in your way.
