Disney's The Lion King: Simba's Mighty Adventure is a 2D platforming adventure for the Game Boy Color based on Disney's The Lion King and its sequel, The Lion King II: Simba's Pride. Torus Games developed the Game Boy Color version and Activision published it. Compared to the PlayStation version, this edition has a compact 2D presentation that is suitable for the Game Boy Color hardware. The story follows Simba from his life as a young lion in the Pride Lands. Players guide him through dangerous situations as he grows up, helping him face challenges involving his family and his future as king. The adventure features familiar locations such as the Pride Lands, the Elephant Graveyard and jungle environments. The first parts are about young Simba and the dangers around him. As players progress through platforming stages, they must help him survive hazards and enemies.
