Pokémon Emerald Version is a role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance, taking players on an adventure through the Hoenn region. Story

The adventure begins in the Hoenn region where the player is starting a new life in Littleroot Town and is soon introduced to Professor Birch. After choosing a first Pokémon, the player sets out to explore the region, meeting other Trainers, finding new places, and aiming to become the Pokémon League Champion. Along the way, the player encounters old rivals, Gym Leaders, and characters whose stories are tied to Hoenn's unusual environment and legendary Pokémon. The central conflict involves two opposing groups, Team Magma and Team Aqua. Their ambitions threaten the natural balance of the region, so the legendary Pokémon Groudon, Kyogre and Rayquaza are woven into the larger story. As they continue their journey to the Pokémon League, the player must grow stronger, learn the schemes of the groups, and help protect Hoenn.

Gameplay

Pokémon Emerald’s gameplay is the same as any other Pokémon game: turn-based fights, exploration, team management, and collecting creatures. Players will be able to explore the Hoenn region, battle wild Pokémon, catch them in Poké Balls, and strengthen their team by gaining experience in battle. Each Pokémon has its own types, moves, strengths and weaknesses so it’s important to pick a balanced team when facing different opponents. Gym challenges are huge milestones of the adventure!
