Dragon Quest VIII: Journey of the Cursed King |ROM-Download

The story follows a young royal guard, the Hero, travelling with the cursed King Trode and mysterious princess Medea. A powerful spell turns the king into a strange green creature and the princess into a horse. The curse is placed by the evil jester Dhoulmagus, who steals a magical sceptre and unleashes its power to bring destruction to the kingdom. The Hero and his new companions set off on a long journey to find Dhoulmagus, learn the secrets of the curse, and find a way to return the kingdom and its people to normal. Along the way they meet new allies and learn the history behind the mysterious sceptre, visiting towns, castles, forests, caves and other dangerous places.

Dragon Quest VIII is a traditional Japanese-style role-playing game with a large 3D world to explore. Players travel between towns, fields, caves, towers, and other locations while completing story quests and side activities. Battles take place through a turn-based command system where players can choose attacks, spells, abilities, items, and defensive actions for each party member. Characters become stronger by earning experience from battles, while new equipment can improve their abilities. The game also features a skill-point system that allows characters to specialize in different weapon types and abilities. Players can explore the world freely, search for treasure, talk with NPCs, discover hidden locations, and use the Alchemy Pot to combine items into new equipment and useful objects

First, you play as the Hero and explore the world, following the main storyline. Speak to characters in towns and villages for information, quests and vital clues. Explore fields and dungeons, fight monsters on the way, find treasure, equipment, and hidden items. Battles: Select commands for each member of your party, and use the appropriate attacks, spells, abilities, or items against the opposing enemy. Kill monsters for experience and use your level ups and skill points to make your characters stronger. Buy better weapons and armour from shops and combine materials with the Alchemy Pot to make stronger equipment. Explore carefully, save at suitable intervals, and gear up your party before tackling tough dungeons or powerful bosses.
