Pokémon White Version 2 is set two years after the events of Pokémon Black and White. In that time, Unova has changed a lot, with new towns, routes, Gym Leaders and areas added to the player’s journey. This adventure starts in Aspertia City, in the southwestern part of Unova.
The player receives their first Pokémon and begins traveling through the region alongside new and returning characters. Hugh serves as the player's main rival and has a personal reason for confronting Team Plasma. His story gives the adventure a more personal connection to the organization and its activities.
Team Plasma has changed as well. The group isn’t just the organisation from the old Black and White games anymore. A faction known as Neo Team Plasma continues its plans, with characters such as Ghetsis and Colress playing important roles.
Kyurem is relevant to the story of the sequel. The legendary Pokémon can combine with either Reshiram or Zekrom to create its powerful fusion forms. In Pokémon White Version 2, the signature form is White Kyurem.
