The player controls a young hero who becomes embroiled in the fight against these supernatural creatures. The hero can talk to some demons, and even recruit them, instead of killing every demon he meets. As the adventure unfolds, the player can build a team of demons and use their different abilities in combat. Certain demons can be combined with other demons to form more powerful creatures. Players will wander through towns, dungeons, forests, and other dangerous places to find out why is the demonic threat happening. The goal is to eventually be strong enough to confront the forces behind the world’s troubles and bring about peace.

Revelations: The Demon Slayer is a turn-based Japanese RPG. Players explore the world from a top down and fight enemies when they come across them. One of the big features is recruiting demons. Players can talk to demons and convince them to join the party instead of killing every creature. There are over 100 demons to encounter, recruit and command during the adventure. Players can also fuse demons to create new and more powerful monsters. Combat has the players issuing commands to their characters and demons. Having the right mix of attacks and abilities can make tough encounters easier. Exploration is important too. Players move through different settings, such as towns, where they buy equipment, pick up items and explore dangerous dungeons.

You will want to discover the world of the game and visit towns to pick up information, equipment, and useful items. When a battle starts, decide what commands your character and the demons you have will obey. Select your attacks and abilities based on the enemy you are facing. Try to communicate with demons and recruit them if possible. A good demon team will give you more options in hard fights. Use demon fusion to make more powerful creatures. Some combinations create demons with different powers and strengths. If you search dungeons you will find enemies, treasures, items and important places. Prepare your party for tough encounters, and be sure to have the right demons on hand for various situations. Keep playing the story, defeating enemies, recruiting demons, exploring new areas and finally facing the forces that threaten the world.
