The Amazing Spider-Man follows Peter Parker as he continues to live his life as Spider-Man following the events of the movie. As he struggles to balance his responsibilities as Peter Parker and to protect New York City, he gets caught up in an explosive biological crisis caused by scientific experiments. A strange outbreak begins to create genetically modified creatures, threatening to spread across the city and endangering innocent civilians. Peter investigates the source of the outbreak and discovers connections to Oscorp and dangerous science. As Spider-Man he has to wander the city, investigate suspicious places, protect civilians and face criminals and powerful enemies. In addition to new challenges, Peter must also grapple with his relationship with Gwen Stacy and the personal responsibility that comes with being Spider-Man. But as the crisis grows, Peter uses his intelligence, spider-sense, web powers and fighting skills to find out the truth and stop the threat before it gets out of hand.

The Amazing Spider-Man is an action-packed, third person adventure game that combines superhero combat, web swinging, exploration, missions, collectibles and character upgrades. Players take control of Spider-Man as he moves around an open-world New York City and completes story objectives. Spider-Man can swing between buildings, climb walls, jump across rooftops and use his web shooters to move quickly around the environment. Combat allows players to punch, kick, web attack, dodge, counter and use special abilities on different types of enemies. Your spider-sense will warn you when attacks are coming so you can react in time to dodge damage headed your way. Besides the main story missions, players can explore the city, find collectibles, complete optional activities, and upgrade Spider-Man's abilities. Players have to observe the patterns of the enemies and make good use of Spider-Man’s mobility and web powers during boss fights. The blend of fast-paced action, close-quarters combat, web attacks, exploration, and superhero powers delivers an action-packed Spider-Man experience.
